Formed in 2002 and based in New York City, HB Equity Partners is a private equity firm that targets small company investments in distribution, gaming, leisure/entertainment, media/telecommunications, services, and specialty manufacturing. HB Equity looks to invest between $10 and $30 million of equity capital in businesses valued up to $100 million. Target transaction situations include managment buyouts, corporate divestitures, growth financings, recapitalizations, and special situations. HB Equity prefers to partner with management teams and has an investment horizon of three to five years.
