HireRight Holdings Corporation entered into a definitive all-cash merger agreement under which investment funds affiliated with General Atlantic and Stone Point Capital acquire the company for $14.35 per share, valuing the enterprise at approximately $1.65 billion. The transaction completed in late June 2024 after stockholder approval, with HireRight’s common stock ceasing trading and no longer listed on the NYSE.

HireRight Holdings Corporation acquired a majority stake in Digital Trusted Identity Services, LLC (DTIS), an FBI-approved channeler that collects and processes biometric and biographical data and operates the Transportation Security Clearinghouse for airports. The deal gives HireRight native fingerprinting and biometric capabilities to bolster its background screening offerings across regulated industries such as aviation, healthcare, and financial services, while the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) retains a minority stake.
